Welcome to Paradox Blog

In 1999 I started Paradox to accompany my journey into motherhood. I had quit my job to be a full-time mom and needed some stimulant in fear of becoming mushy-brained. It had very limited exposure but that was not the main concern. It served mainly as an outlet for myself. It was first named 獨臂雙鎗, which translates to "one arm too guns" and refers to being bilingual. The paradoxical situation of having only one arm but having to handle two guns leads to the name Paradox. It lasted as long as it could and eventually other things took over my attention and I moved on.

Fast forward to today, there is nothing more paradoxical than being Asian American, a minority that skews the discussion of Affirmative Action. I am having a hard time resolving conflicts between my altruistic outlook and my self-preservation instinct when an Affirmative Action agenda clearly infringes on Asian American interests. Thus Paradox Now. This time I am journeying into a responsible adult and informed voter.
