Paradox May 2000 - From the Editor

First I must apology to my faithful readers for the delay in publishing this issue. The delay is caused by (no, not the millennium bug) simply overestimating my ability to handle the holiday rush and the deadline of Paradox at the same time. Since the holiday won't change its schedule, I could only change Paradox's schedule. Second, this issue we have the encore appearance of Patrick Wong's writing. I am very thankful about that.

The Lunar calendar New Year falls on February 5th this year. For many years, it went by without me putting much thought to it. But these few years, I found renewed interests in it. I would buy special food for the occasion, cook special dishes on New Year's eve, and treasure the time spend with family more. I know sentimentality only grows with age and I probably do have more years to look back on than to look forward to. What I want most of all at this time of my life is to connect all the "dots". I don't know what the big picture will look like. The "dots" that are in my future have not been plotted yet. The "dots" that are way in the past are quite obscured as well. But there is this continuation of things that draws me to it. So here you are, Paradox February 2000 issue, another "dot" on the grand scheme of my life. .
